In 1982, 27-year-old David Grundman and went “cactus plugging,” - shooting the desert plant with a shotgun.
A small cactus went down easily, so Grundman targeted larger prey. He took aim at a 26 foot tall cactus, probably over 100 years old. Unfortunately, the cactus fell on him and crushed him to death.
